Have had the name Mintzer in the back of my head for quite some time. Found your blog. Downed 3 Mintzer recordings. Listened. And Yes. It was just the kind of big-band I like. So thanks you:) I was intruduced to big-band threw the rec. of Oliver Nelson. Especially: "Black, brown and beautiful". Had it on vinyl. Now its gone. Do you have it, or Anything Oliver Nelson, id probably burst in to song;) Again; great blog brother. Bye.
